Sclerotherapy has a variety of advantages, including:
A safe and effective vein treatment that’s become widely practiced. It’s non-invasive and has fewer risks than surgery. Our patients always get optimal results. In 90% of cases, it effectively dissolved varicose and spider veins. After your first treatment, most veins are treated. However, most patients need several treatments to get ultra-smooth skin. During the procedure, a chemical is inserted into the vein, which causes the walls of the veins to bond. This prevents blood from flowing through the vein and improves the surrounding healthy veins. The treated veins will vanish within a few weeks of getting the treatment.
Sclerotherapy is a treatment used to get rid of spider veins. Sclerosant is injected into a vein to obliterate it. The sclerosant damages the inner vessel (the endothelium), resulting in a clot that blocks the blood circulation in the vein beyond. You may need multiple treatments.
Spider veins are common after pregnancies, long-time heavy weightlifting, or prolonged sitting. Asclera is the only FDA-approved treatment for spider veins.
One treatment takes thirty minutes to an hour. The cost is $200 per session. You may need multiple sessions for desired results.
Pre-procedure, it would be best if you avoided tanning beds one week prior—no shaving or lotion on the day of the procedure. Bring a pair of loose shorts or pants to wear after the procedure. You must consent to photos.
You can repeat treatment every 2-3 weeks. The final results were after multiple sessions in the clinical study, with the last result at 26 weeks.
You will need to walk for 15-20 mins post-treatment before leaving our facility.
Post-procedure, you must wear compression stockings (will be provided) for 2-3 days around the clock, and then two weeks at least 8 hours every day. You must walk for 15-20 minutes, twice a day.
Two days post-injection:
No shaving or lotion
No long flights
No heavy lifting
No hot baths/saunas
No high heel shoes
